BMW M340i [2021-2022]

Summary 
Bavarian luxury carmaker BMW introduced the new M340i xDrive in India in March 2021 with only 40 units, which were sold out within a day of its launch. The brand re-opened its order books for the M340i xDrive at the end of June 2021. Not to mention, BMW assembles this sporty sedan at its facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 

Exterior 
Although the M340i xDrive is based on the 3 Series (G20), it gets an M Sport package that distinguishes both the models. The powerful M340i also comes with BMW laser light technology, a rear spoiler, 18-inch M alloy wheels, M sport brakes and differential, and three paint options. 

Interior 
The interior is upholstered in a combination of Alcantara and Sensatec trim in black with blue/black decorative stitching. Further, the cabin gets a 12.3-inch driver display and a 10.25-inch central infotainment hub, 16 speakers, 464-watts Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display, electronically-adjustable front sports seats, three-zone temperature control, BMW Individual headliner in Anthracite, M seat belts, and so forth. 

Safety 
The M340i features numerous safety equipment, such as six airbags, hill hold and descent control systems, an all-wheel-drive system, reversing assistant, ABS with brake assist, cornering brake control, TPMS, ISOFIX anchor points, and dynamic traction and stability control. 

Engine and transmission 
Powering the German performance sedan is a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged petrol engine mated to an eight-speed sport automatic transmission. This motor generates 382bhp and 500Nm of torque. That said, the M340i xDrive can achieve zero to 100kmph in just 4.4 seconds.
