Peel P50: The Peel P50 is the world’s smallest and ultra-compact car. The P50 is powered by a 3.35hb engine, paired with a CVT transmission. It’s electric version, too, have nearly the same specs. The P50 has an electronic speed limit of 30mph, and doesn’t do 60mph.
Aixam Coupe: The Aixam Coupe is a light quadricycle ‘carped’ two-seater coupe. Interestingly, a driver doesn’t require license to drive it in the UK, and kids of 16 years are allowed to drive it after passing the new CBT and Moped test. It derives power from a 400cc two-cylinder diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 5.6hp. It is restricted to 30mph only, making it one of the slowest cars in the world.
Renault Twizy: The Renault Twizy is an electric two-seater ‘quadricycle’ city car. It has a 17hb electric motor, offering a range of between 30 – 50 miles. However, it range varies with driving style, traffic and average speed.
MIA electric car: The Mia is a 3-seater plug-in electric car. Powered with an electric motor, which is claimed to get fully charged in 3 hours, offers a range up to 80miles. It has the slowest 0-60mph times – i.e. 30 seconds or half a minute.
Tata Nano: The Tata Nano is the world’s cheapest and one of the slowest cars. It’s among the most popular ultra-compact cars in India. Powered with a 37.5bhp, 624cc, MPFi petrol engine, the car accelerates 0-60mph in 29. 4 seconds.
Hindustan Ambassador 1.5 DSZ: The Hindustan Ambassador is one of the classic cars we have in India. Powered with a 2-litre Isuzu diesel engine, it offers 52hp with 78 lb-ft. The car takes around 28 seconds to achieve 0-60mph.
Chevrolet CMV: The Chevrolet CMV is a commercial pick-up vehicle. Powering the CMV is a small 796cc, 0.8-litre, 3-cylinder engine that develops a maximum power of 37hb. It is capable to mark 0-60mph in 27 seconds without any shipment/ payload.
Maruti Suzuki Omni: The Maruti Suzuki Omni is one of the most popular yesteryear’s commercial cars in India. Powered with a 32.8bhp, 0.8-litre, in-line engine, it accelerates 0-60mph in 20 seconds.
Smart CDI: The Smart CDI is a rear engine and rear wheel-drive car. The car gets its power from a 45bhp turbo-charged diesel engine with a semi-automatic gearbox. It can mark 0-60mph sprints in 19.5 seconds.
Fiat Qubo Natural Power 1.4: The Fiat Qubo Natural Power 1.4 is one of the slowest cars in Europe. It is powered with Fiat’s FIRE-series gasoline engine that churns out a maximum power of 76hp. It takes 17.7 seconds to achieve 0-60mph.
