The Audi 100 belongs to the group of executive cars that were manufactured by the German luxury carmaker from 1968 to 1994. The first model of this special car was launched in 1968 and it kept rolling out of assembly line till 1976. It was restyled in 1976 and was unveiled as the C2 Audi 100. These mills ranged from 1.8-litre to 2.5-litre in their displacement capacity and ensured a power output in the range of 75PS to 165PS. Other than this, the Audi car is also known for one its most revolutionary iterations that was presented in year 1990. At the Geneva Motor Show, Audi presented a plug-in parallel hybrid model of this car as Audi Duo (Audi 100 Avant Duo). A 9.4kW Siemens electric motor was incorporated in it that delivered an output of 12.6bhp and supported a rear wheel drive. The boot space of the vehicle was loaded with a nickel-cadmium battery that powered its rear wheels. The front wheels of this car were powered by a 2.3-litre petrol engine that delivered 136PS.
