The famous Indian pop star Daler Mehndi rose to popularity for his soulful voice and exclusively stylish attires in the 1990s. The man has been entertaining us with his heart-touching songs since then. However, apart from his golden turbans and colorful robes, the man has recently hit headlines for his golden Porsche Cayenne. Needless to say his choice of wheels is as explicit as his style statement. Available in a price bracket of Rs.1.02 – Rs.1.75 crores, the Porsche Cayenne is one of the costliest and posh SUVs sold in India. The one owned by Daler costs around Rs.1.5 crores. There are in total 4 versions of this SUV that are currently being offered in India. Out of these one runs on petrol, another on hybrid power train and the last two have diesel engines. The car carries the basic sophistication and dynamism for which the Porsche cars are loved in India and across the world.

On the outer end, it represents a distinct class in itself with a beautifully sculpted front façade embellished with air ducts and dual shaded bumper. Other striking features are its oval bi-xenon headlights, LED lights, chrome plated exhaust pipes, and muffler cutter. On the inner end it looks classy with astoundingly luxurious features like wooden inserts, 4.5-inch TFT colored screen, ergonomically arranged instrument cluster, center armrests, and what not.

On the power front, the Porsche Cayenne has been bestowed with four different kinds of power mills. These include two petrol and two diesel engines. The lower end version has been installed with a 3.6-litre petrol engine that gives a power output of 420bhp against a peak torque of 550Nm. The top-end petrol mill, on the other hand, is a 4.8-litre configuration that delivers 520bhp for 750Nm. The entry level diesel engine has been blessed with a 3.0-litre oil burner that exudes 245bhp for 550Nm. And last but never the least, the top diesel model is backed by a 4.1-litre engine that unleashes 385bhpfor 850Nm. These power mills meld with an 8-speed Tiptronic  S automatic transmission gearbox that allows this supercar to accelerate from 0-100kmph speed barrier within 7.8 seconds. The top speed gained by this car stands at 283kmph for the petrol variant and 252kmph for the diesel version.

In crux, the Porsche Cayenne is an ultra-premium SUV with marvelous looks and astonishing performance. It excels all others in terms of make, quality, and pick-up. The fuel economy, however, is one thing that the maker would needs to improvise a little.
