The R8 sports car is his favorite one, though, for some reasons, he wants to sell it now. The R8 is one of the most stunning and popular celebrity cars, which is also owned by Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and Virat Kohli.

- The R8 prototype has a winning racing history. It won the exhausting 24 hours of Le Mans for 5 times – 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005. The sports car prototypes achieved first, second and third position in the legendary French race twice. It has been designed for long grueling races and the interior, too, favors the drive to perform well.
- Audi showcased the race winning concept at 2006 Paris Motor Show. Unlike other Audi cars, the R8 has mid-engine structure with the V8 positioned close behind the cockpit. The carbon-fiber ‘blades’, covering the air intakes behind the doors, and sloping silhouette were the major attractions of the concept version. However, the production model got larger blades and engines.
- The powertrain, situated behind the seats and in front of the rear axle, is full of power steroids and delivers outstanding performance. The 4.2-litre direct-injected V8 engine churns out a whooping power of 420bhp with 317 ft-lbs of torque.
- The interesting thing is the 90% of maximum torque curve can be obtained between 3, 500rpm – 7600rpm, while its peak comes at 4500rpm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-speed transmission. It takes 4.4 seconds to achieve 0-60kmph, while maintaining a top speed of 187mph.
- On the inside, the R8 has sporty leather or leather + Alcantara material and functional ergonomics that make it comfortable and practical for 24 hours track racing. Audi claims that it can accommodate two golf bags behind the seats. However, the front seat luggage compartment is bit restricted, since it has rear engine. Audi cars are known for their plush and comfortable interior, and the R8 isn’t an exception here.
- The R8 is an absolute stunner and high on performance, which make it one of the most popular celebrity cars in India. The car sports headlights with LED eyeliner rimming, robust and lightweight aluminum chassis sitting on 19-inches wheel, carbon-fiber blades, custom Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker system with a vehicle noise compensation system for automatic volume adjustment and optional rear view backup and acoustic parking system.
- The sports car has two variants – R8 V10 and R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show and 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, respectively.
