Hankook-KTR team achieved the pole-to-one with the Porsche GT3 RSR 997 at 2009 Super GT season. In 2010, the company sponsored Sierra Sierra -  a racing team that broke the new track record at the first Redline Time Attack. Recently, Hankook Tire expanded its product line-up, specifically the high-performance Ventus and Vantra series, in minivan and light truck segment.

Hankook’s Ventus F200 and Ventus Z207 race car tires, solely designed for the motorsport purpose, deliver high performance and mileage on dry surfaces and are quite reliable on wet roads, respectively. These car tires are stored under controlled environmental conditions at low temperatures and dark places.

Hankook Ventus Prime tires, based on multi-tread radius technology, optimize pressure distribution on the contact surface to provide strong grip over wet surfaces. The SCCT technology (Stiffness Control Contour Theory) patented by Hankook results less deformation with even distribution of pressure, and also reduces damage risk. It also enhances the braking capabilities and drivability of a vehicle, even around the corners at high speeds. These tires are composed of a hybrid-silica tread with nano particles, and are special hybrid polymer chains that improve fuel efficiency and wet grip.

The Vantra Hankook tires with reinforced belt design ensure high traction and consistent performance. Its innovative compound technology also improves fuel efficiency up to 13% by reducing energy loss. Hankook Tire invests nearly 5% of revenue in Research & Development on annual basis, and is constantly making efforts in developing advanced and high value tires. The company introduced advanced tyre technology - the Hankook Kontrol that addresses drivability, safety and environmental compatibility. It improves the interaction between the driver, car and road by means of tires, while driving at high speeds.
