With the development of numerous modes of transport in the present era, there is a consequence covering the whole globe. Thousands of awareness campaigns might surely have got the word of the spreading pollution into your ears. Global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer are a few consequences followed by the pollution. But the question is if there is some way to prevent this pollution struck generation? Can’t we attain an environment like we used to have a few decades back?

      Why are green cars needed

As a matter of fact, a few scientists are working in the development of eco-friendly cars. Use of green cars in India has become a much demanded necessity keeping in mind, the dense population and pollution in this second most populated country in the world. These eco-friendly cars make use of alternate sources of energy, barring them from use of pollution causing petrol and diesel products.

These fuel efficient cars in India have got a high demand due to use of reliable and cheap sources of energy like CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), etc. The best eco-friendly car is the one that runs on electricity. All one has to do is charge the car for a couple of hours, and it is good to go for another 100 kilometres. These cars are also provided with a conventional fuel engine in case of emergencies.

It must be noted that these fuel efficient cars process the source of energy and try attaining the maximum output from them. Everything depends upon the calorific value of the fuel/source of energy being used. Petrol and diesel are no doubt, highly efficient in terms of calorific value, but the emissions of gases like Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Oxides of Nitrogen, etc. makes it difficult for the people living in the society. These gases cause a mess all around in the environment, and have even led to the depletion of the ozone layer, which protects us from the harmful ultraviolet radiations coming from the sun. A greenhouse effect caused due to these gases has led to the widespread problems, which has caused an increase in the demands of alternate sources of energy.

Transportation is a necessity, and this fact can’t be denied at any cost. But in order to protect the environment along with fulfilling your needs would be true human nature. This results in the use of more and more fuel efficient cars in India.
