BMW cars in India have been a head-turner. Many celebrities and businessmen show their interest in purchasing the cars belonging to BMW series. One of them is Rohit Sharma, the famous Indian batsman who now flaunts the BMW M5 series, which has been recently launched in the country. During one of his interviews, he had referred M5 as his dream car.
The latest M5 F10 has come up as one of the most fuel efficient BMWs so far and is much heavier. It is featured with a synthetic engine and has a lower top speed compared to its previous versions. The car sports blue painted brake calipers and 19-inch multi-spoke wheel, which together give it a sporty look. Interestingly, Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar join Rohit Sharma in owning a BMW M5 series.
BMW M5 series costs around Rs. 1.30 crore in the Indian auto market and has been built by the motorsport division of German car maker. The wheel design is unusual in the case of the M5 series as it uses bidirectional bolting system known as the 'M-system'. This design was used to drive away the heat from the braking system. It was then integrated into a fin assembly behind the cover that caused much effective braking. Many models of BMW cars in India are available at present in the country. Other celebrities who own cars from the BMW series include Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
