Hi,
The price paid seems to be quite ok and worth it. The heating is normal for high capacity engine like that of Bullet. However if theere is overheating problem then it needs to be throughly inspected.

You don't seem to know about RE engines. They heat up quickly and stay at the temperature at whatever spped the bike and the engine are at. It might be irritating at times but it doesn't harm the engine.

You got ripped man ! Rs. 50,000/- was enough for a three year old bike, there might be some problem with the engine if it heats too much.

Hey dude, congrats on your bike, the thunderbird is got a CDI ignition AVL engine, and Aluminium make, so its bound to heat up early and cool down early aswell.
Just one suggestion on ur problem, check the engine oil, if it has lost its density (thickness) and has turned into black thin liquid much before completing 3 months of filling it then there is a problem in your Block+Piston+valves+timing...........
Please get it checked from a good n renowned mechanic......

i feel u r new to bullet bike,
bullet is only bike which gets heated to high temp in 1min, wen compared to another bike, the prob u r saying is not at all a prob, u know 1 advantage of bullet it runs faster as it gets heated, so just chill up and enjoy driving
