had singled out fiesta TDCi 2008 Jan 38000 Km driven still to be checked by mechanic.
Today I met a mechanic of a reputed garage (Patel Auto in goregaon, mumbai)to get my car (Hyundai accent) serviced he told me not to purchase second hand diesel car especially Fiesta. According to him the problem in a diesel car starts after 3 years and Ford engine can hardly be repaired/serviced by few mechanics and the only option is service center. No ordinary mechanic will be able to repair the car if Any breakdown happen anywhere.I don't know is it wise to by a diesel car which is used.Guys Kindly advise.

Hi,
Yes infact for any car maintenance cost increases after usage for three years. However as far as ford Fiesta is concerned, the mechanic is tright insaying non availbility of mchanics all over due to less number of dealership outlets. You will have to give to dealer for service or find good mechanic. The advantage of Fiesta is its reliability and trouble free service and hence you can take it anywhere.
Hence in overall if you done mind spending two or three days with alternativecars when car is given for service then youcango ahead with the same.Otherwise a used Accent CRDI would be right selection.

Also Mr. Shiva non availability of spares of fiesta in market may force one to go to the service station. Like other vehicles /brands availability of cheaper open market spares option is not there with fiesta> Mr. Shiva used accent crdi would be a good option. Kindly inform me on the accent CRDi engine
