The quoting price of 4.5 lac seems to be quite high.If it can be negotiated by 25K or so then it would make a great selection.

Great engine, nothing to worry about running it for a few years. The Fiesta doesn't have any chronic problems either like its other predecessors.

The Ford Diesel engine is a tough one and should easily cover more than 1.5 lac km without any hassle. So far the car has not realized even 1/3rd of its potential. The price seems to be OK if the overall body condition is also upto the mark. Keep up the basic maintenance and all should be fine.

Just be aware before cracking the deal . Get the car diagnistics done at the ford dealership near you or if u have anyknown person who can do the diagnostics. Because in todays diesel cars no one car no one can about the condition of the car just by looking at it . You will be charged about 1000-1500 bugs thats much cheaper than getting a ford repaired. if everything comes out fine than deal is good.

Don't worry buy the car I m using Ford Fiesta ZXI 2006 Diesel
I have driven my car around 45000 kms till now there is no expense except tyres. Tyres works only 35-40k kms otherwise car is really very good. It requires service after 10k kms. Good in average, pick up & A/C. price is also ok not to worry.

Today I meant mechanic of a reputed garage (Patel Auto in goregaon, mumbai)to get my car (Hyundai accent) serviced he told me not to purchase second hand diesel car especially Fiesta. According to him the problem in a diesel car starts after 3 years and Ford engine can hardly be repaired/serviced by few mechanics and the only option is service center. No ordinary mechanic will be able to repair the car if Any breakdown happen anywhere.I don't know is it wise to by a diesel car as I had singled out fiesta TDCi 2008 Jan 38000 Km driven still to be checked by mechanic.
