Hi,
The steering of Zen VX is good and smooth. It may not be worth investing on fixing power steering to it. Driving of car in speed brakes largly depends the driving skills and if driven slowly then at speed breakers,there wont be underchassis hittings.

The 1999 Zen will be a carburuetter version.The later versions with MPFI had the EPS.
It will mean a lot of fabrications and modifications to retrofit a power steering in the carb zen.

Why dont you get your steering system overhauled?

About the low ground clearance,there isnt much that you can do .You can fot spacers and increase the ride height ,but this will be at the expense of handling.

get your suspension also checked.

U can avail the old version power steering assambly from the shop which deals in accidental parts. Many good & new cars are desposed due to accident, & the said shop keeper collect the spars which are as good as new & sell them in chepper rate.
