I plan to buy a 2nd hand MM 540 and change the engine with a toyota 3.0 diesel. Play to get this done in punjab and bring it to Mumbai. So if this rto and registration change is done there, will I be able to get it done here also in mumbai? what problems will I have to encounter? I am getting it done there because these things are done very commonly there and the cost there is lower and the expertise is higher. What do you suggest?

Hi Shiva, Thanks for yr reply. Can you also tell me about the rto bit as I have mentioned in my question? Thats more imp. After the engine change how easy or tough would it be to get it endorsed on the registration?
