It depends on how much you drive in order to justify the investment. No doubt both CNG and LPG will save you money, but the kits cost money. Apart from this factor, your Esteem will continue to run smoothly on CNG or LPG.

I had installled a LPG kit on my Esteem and it was performing very well. Though LPG costs you more as compared to CNG, the installation of LPG kit is way cheaper. The performance of the car also does not get affected with LPG. CNG on the other hand gives you better mileage and a cheaper per kilometer run than LPG. But in most of the cases it is found that CNG results in loss of Pickup. Its upto you to decide. LPG and CNG both are cheaper than petrol. You would need to decide on the basis of the number of kilometers you travel on your Esteem everyday.

I have used the car with CNG and found that except for pick up the car gave me a good riding quality. Yes it depends upon the monthly run on the vehicle. If your run is limited than there is no need to invest for CNG or LPG. Even after installing the kit try to run your vehicle on petrol quite frequently.

Hi,

I would suggest you to go for an LPG or a CNG kit only if you are planning to keep the car for at least 2-3 years more and will use it for at least 20K KMs afetr putting the kit.. CNG will cost you around Rs.35,000 and if you pur an LPG kit it will cost you Rs.15,000.. U can also get a used good LPG kit for around Rs.6,000 because lot of people replaced their LPG kits with CNG kits and U can even get these used LPG kits to your car.
