I own a WagonR Would like to know whether fixing a luggage

It wont affect much of the dynamics unless the luggage exerts excessive aerodynamic resistence such as fixing of box on the roof etc.

Fixing a luggage carrier would certainly affect the Dynamics of your WagonR and considerable drop in mileage is another issue you will have to face.

Ofcourse it will affect the mileage because if you are on
60 KM speed the more pressure will push you backward. If it is an Aerodynamic way you can reduce some pressure. Don't keep your luggages on cross ways or cover the boxes competly
to pass the airpressure smoothly to backward.

Avoid using Luggage Carrier as Wagon R is a narrow width vehicle

If you fix one of the steel-frame kind there is no issues on milage while it is emply. Only to take care is not to get hooked by the low trees & branches in out-skirt roads. But if you go for the kind of the one availalbe for innova [fixed-boat shapes] the comment of "Jins Owner of Maruti Zen" matters. Any way you are going carry some extra weight, and since no need to bother on milage for that trip atleast. More over, as WagonR is allready a tall vehicle, increasig the hieght by stacking the luggage will definitly affect the stability of the car.

Fitting a luggage carrier will affect your stability but all u hv to do is be little slow on bends and that should be safe enough. The extra load plus additional air resistance will increase the fuel consumption. But the purpose will be served.

Foremost, it will affect the aesthetics of your vehicle.It should lead to instability of the car and also increase the fuel consumption.In conclusion,its an avoidable deterent.
