Skoda Octavia is one of the entry level luxury car boosting up the onroad image.But currently it has lost the charm with many competitor cars around. Considering the budget of around 12 lacs going for Toyota Altis would be a right selection.

I still prefer Octavia,
though i sold it last year and took LK laura,
still Octavia is undoubtly the best (better than Altis or Honda) in any case,
great milage, great pickup, great control,
another reason to buy octavia- Skoda is leader on sales,
figure tell u exact sitution of Skoda, they are so strong and always better to be with the leader....

I am sure you wont regret after buying Octavia...

hi, Just dont Opt for SKODA it is a good car to drive but Maintenance Cost is too too heavy. I have a diesel. I think Honda is a Much Better choice as it will not attract Heavy Mainenan Bills.

Incidently I own both the new honda city & the octavia rider. Both are very good cars with individual +ves. City is very light, zippy & actually a city car. Octavia is a meaty & solid beast with good road grip & highway glider with v. good mileage. So if you ask me then octavia shd. give u much more confidence to drive & at the same time new city is a damn fine car for Delhi.

I understand both cars are within the said budget.But Skoda Octavia is a car I like better due to it's fuel efficiency,pick up grip on the road & lower maintenance if you identify good service agency.Road clearance is a challenge however in this car & requires little extra care.One diffinitely enjoy the ownership as well as driving this car.Why don't you give it a try?

There will be a lot of people to tell u a lot of things, end of the day it is going to be your car. So i would suggest u to review your requirements, and usage of the car.
In my view no question SKODA Octavia.

bro i havent tried honda. i trust on skoda. best car of the year. maintance wise car is costly in company service because they import all the parts no manufacturing is here but i can say its a goli...... car.

On Performance Octavia will be abetter choice but maintainence and resale value will be better for Honda.
Also Depends on the usage if yiu drive or travel on Highways Octavia will be a better bet.

Skoda is excellent. No one can kill skoda engine . But back seat is very uncomfortable.
Make peroidic service/checkup. If you are caught regarding spares with dealer you will be banged for your bucks.
