I have been facing a problem with the brakes in my Honda City 2001 model. I am getting a grinding noise at the rear when I apply brakes.
Honda service is unable to provide me a convincing answer. They say the brake pads are fine and all components related to brakes are in good condition. Whenever I take the car to them they do some sort of cleaning on the brakes but the problem seems to persist. Please advice the reason why I get this sort of problem. Your help would be appreciated.

This type of problem can occure due to
mis alignment of wheel cylinder or back plate. The slight difference in liners with the one designed for thar partcular model can also lead to such noice .This can be found out by concerned supervisor after checking through circulars from Manufacturer about slight changes in design from time to time.
