1.It's Euro-iii. pl. note that there is no petrol pump in india which gives petrol for Euro-iv pollution standard.

The pollution under control certificate is for checking Carbon monoxide,Nitrogen oxides,Unburnt hydro carbon during ENGINE idling. pl. note that this is easily satisfied by all Fuel injected petrol cars. This is nothing to do with Euro standards. This test is mandatory to ensure that you are maintaining your engine well. Cars generally fails to meet this when there is high oil consumption or check engine light is on.

Maruti Astar fitted with KB series engine is yet to pass Bharath IV norms.Pollusion certificate is nothing but emission certificate and without which vehicle will not be allowed to run. Posted: 4090 day(s) ago |

Sir, I have gone through your reply and understand that Maruti A-Star has got EURO-III standard. But your authorised dealer M/s Saikia Auto, North Lakhimpur, Assam told me that it bears EURO-IV and EURO-V is ready for sale. He even reiterated it during free servicing visit. Is it not cheating?
