Hi,
Tata Safari is well known for its Power, onroad image and performance. Hence it does make a great selection as a SUV.Mileage of 8 to 10KMPL max canbe expected.Though there would difference if maintenance cost due to difference in spares price, it wont differ much in terms of overall maintenance cost compared to that of Scorpio or Innova. Recommended to go ahead with the same. Posted: 4849 day(s) ago |
Hi,
I am also a great fan of the SUV's especially tata safari. I have done very deep research on these. The options that were in front of me were tata safari, mahindra scorpio & toyota innova. One of my friends took the new 2.2 VTT EX model. He is quite satisfied with the car in terms of mileage and comfort. The weak points are the quality and the life of vehicle. The better option would be to go for a scorpio, which is also not too good but it has a higher stand than safari. The best option is to go for a innova but the looks and the spares costs wants you to keep away from it. Whatever others say i am a great fan of TATA Safari, interms of design . Whatever it costs i will definitely go for it if budget permits. The mileage will be around 12 - 14 on highways(there are people getting 16 also) You will get 9 - 10 in city driving conditions. If you have decided go for it. Don't wait for anybodys advice. Anyway you won't regret. Damm sure.......... Posted: 4849 day(s) ago |
Maintenance cost is cheaper than other two vehicles.Free way you may get average 14 km mileage and city it will be 10 km.Less resale value compare to other two.I like Safari very much bcose of its King look.

Initially I used to own a Scorpio 2.6 dx. Now I own a Safari 2.2 VTT EX. And i have no regrets on my decision of buying it. I own it for almost 2 years, done about 45000 kms, not a single fault, is fast, clocked 160km/h, sturdy like a bull, handles curves in a far superior way than a Scorpio, Has much larger leg and head room than a Scorpio. I would definitely recommend you to go for a Safari than a Scorpio. Cannot comment on Innova as have not driven it till now but am sure, she is not an SUV.
