Hi,
Automatic transmission version eases a lot of fatigue especially in city condition driving .With absence of clutch pedal and smoother shifting of grears, it would be much helpful. Posted: 4594 day(s) ago |
If you are looking only to ease out low back pain then it's not much of a help as shiva has rightly said that it just eases your gear shifting. For back pain look for a custom made seat which will benefit you.

1.Automatic is feel good drive and will not be any way beneficial to back pains, for back pain you need to look for cars with better suspension system.
2.The Gear is power ratio of City is very high which means at 5th gear you can drive the car at 20-30 or at 2nd to 3rd gear at 50-60, either way the car will not be knocking or making growling sound. So City Driving with City is always great. 3. Automatic is good to drive but at a cost of lower fuel efficiency at least 1-2 lts. Trade off is between fuel efficiency , machoness ( shifting gear according to me is little macho, you tell the engine do what I am telling you to) and sweet comfort of legs and lower fuel effiency. In addition to what the other experts have said, you may not get relief from the low back pain. Personally I have found that frequent gear changes contribute to cervical nerve irritation (neck/shoulder pain in the left). AT may provide some relief in that case. Hence try something else
