I had been watching your series on regular basis and find it very useful.
I am planning to purchase a new car. I seek your help in regard.
I am not able to make judgement between sedan or hatchback. There are some factors which I am thinking of should be in the car: good mileage, performance, low in maintenance, value for money, good after sales service availability and some minimal safety features required.
I am looking for a petrol vehicle as my running will not be more (weekends in city and 800km round trip to my hometown once in a year). My budget is between 4-6 lakhs.
I am thiking of some models - Maruti Swift Dzire Vxi, Mahindra Logan, Tata Indigo Manza, Hyundai I10, Hyundai Getz. You can suggest me the better option of the above or some other model suited.
Can you please suggest me the best period to buy the vehicle.

It all depends on what you are looking for.
If all you want is a city car and long distance travelling is not important, go for the hatchback as it size makes it easier to drive around in the city and park in those smaller places. If money is not a factor consider the i20 or the Jazz. (Fabia I am omitting due to the high maintenance factor) If however you feel you want a sedan, for the status value of the sedan is considered higher in India, consider the Manza. In the budget range as you are prefering sedan cars, recommended to test drive Indigo Manza.The advantage are the greater space utility and performance .
