Hi,
The Versa when it was introduced created lot of hype but it failed to make impact.Few drawbacks are the body shape which is not much appriciated due to common impression of a van.The AC is not much effective in al corners.The fact that the price of Versa is aroung 5Lac which looked quite high considering impression of similar Maruti Omni though without AC could solve the same purpose as that would have been done by a Versa with higher price. If the design of Versa was similar to that of a Sumo or a Qualis , it would have made much success that what it has now. These are the few points contributed for failure of Versa.As far as maintenance is concerned its not much but of average value and wont be a burdon.

hello sir i am versa owner and i dont think like the problem mr shiva has mentioned with versa as i am using versa from last 5 years i am very happy to tell the car is just superb to drive and handling espically the power steering of this car make u fell like u are driving a small car and mainly the ac of the car one with twin ac is superb what a cooling th ecar gives and i would recommened u to buy the versa dx2 model only its has everthing that a family car needs with a capacity of 8 persons is just born with golden spoon go for it i must low maintainence go babby go

As shiva mentioned ONLY for the look it has been rejected by the customers, otherwise it is a gem. the spare parts are slightly high price because of low number of sales, but maintenance will be as usual for other maruti cars. You can buy this car and feel the magic.

As Shiva told looks and mileage of Versa are worst. Other than that its a good car. But owning a new versa now is not aadvisable since Maruti has stopped manufacturing it and it going to roll out its new version O2 in near future.

Ya. It was a good vechicle. The engine was superb. The only thing which we want to concider is the Re-Sale value of the car. It is very worst when compare to esteem. If u don't care about the Re-sale then u can go for it. And my sugesstion if ur a 4 no family then why you want to go for Versa....?
