maruti ritz is very new at all so cant say any thing (both price also having lots of difference ) so dont compare both and 35 km is not long at all but if you really a car lover than go for swift vdi ekdum mast car

VDi both are same. Petrol Ritz is better. Go for Ritz VDi. It is latest car. Shape would become acceptable by passage of time.

35KM = Rs.4(cost per KM) * 35=Rs.140/day.
price difference between Vxi & Vdi is Approx.Rs.85,000/-
So for Rs.85,000 = 85000/140= 607Days.(1.6 Yrs)
Concluding, you can drive 1.6Yrs for the money saved on Vxi, compared to Vdi.
Swift to Ritz in comparison, Swift is more comfortable, spacious.

Performance(Diesel):- Both cars have same engine. Only thing you have to see is the height of the cars. Swift is bit low compared to Ritz, due to this while driving on Highways the composure in swift will be more, it will stick on the road very well. I have driven my Swift VDI on highways & i have made 160 KMS/hr, it was simply superb & the driving posture is amazing.

Cost Effective & Maintenance: Since its Maruti you need not wori. Its economical...

Petrol Version: Ritz is better since it has latest K-Series engine. Its also proved to be very economical & performance is good.

Hi Amrit,if you are doing 35 kms a day you wont get the advantage the diesel version has,its gonna kick in if you gonna do atleast 100 kms a day.The only problem with the diesel version is that spares are pretty expensive otherwise its a superb car.I have a swift petrol & compared it to the running cost of a diesel version round the year the petrol model turned out cheaper.So go for the petrol swift.
PS I do about 3500 Kms a month

Hi,
Maruti Suzuki Swift Vxi will be a optimim selecion for your requirments.Though Ritz has updated engine, the body style is quite not so impressive.
