Hi,
Among the two Honda Shine has advantage of cheaper pricing.Otherwise Discover has good combination of power and style.

I agree with shiva, if u like to ride bike at optimum speed of say 50Km/hr or within city conditions and long distance then honda shine will be ideal for u. it will easy to suggest if u tell ur usage requirement, ur height, weight n age. because in case someone is little fat discover wont suit his personality.

Ask yourself, What is it that you are looking for???

If you say value for money... both bikes give that. Now rethink...If its true value for money then go for GS150R. I had a Honda Shine and I have touched 95-96 kmph daily while commuting. Economy 52kmpl. Could be more if I drove at a decent speed.
Drawbacks for Shine - only 4 gears for a powerfull bike at higher speeds it leaves you feeling incomplete. Paint work could be better. Inconsistant service quality.
What's good - Excelent pick up for 125 segment. Good braking. Engine refined.

In case of any Bajaj bike - listen to the engine sound of any 1.5 or 2 year old bajaj bike and you will know why I would not recomend it. I am sorry Mr. Rahul Bajaj, no offence but I think your team should concentrate on the essentials of a bike not the cosmetics.

If you plan to keep the bike for 4-5 years then of the two Shine is better. If you have some more money may be you could invest in GS150R.

I have sold my Shine after two years and now I will get my GS150R by the last week of this month. Though wanted to invest in a car.(Plans change)

My vote in between two bikes is HONDA SHINE. I am using SHINE since one and half year and at the same time my friend bought DISCOVER. when we compare our two bikes Discover get more sounds from engine but SHINE doesn't get. Even it looks new.For long time usage go for SHINE only. We get sounds from bajaj engine for a long period.
