We are considering purchasing Aveo LS petrol as it is
We are considering purchasing Aveo LS(petrol) as it is being offered at a good discount at 5.63 lakhs(ex showroom). My doubts are that GM has a poor service network and that this model is in the market for quite some time now. If this model is phased out will there be a problem getting spare parts? Our other interest is Xylo E4.It costs 2lakhs more but is diesel and a new model. What would be a better purchase in the long run? Please advise.

Hi,
The overall performance of Aveo is not much appriciated by all.The power seems to be quite less for faster pick up and speed. Comparitively Xylo will make a much better option as a new SUV. Posted: 4945 day(s) ago |
AVEO is fantastic in looks and style, but the shock absorbers are very weak, i replaced the shock absorbers in 3000 kms itself(under warranty), regarding phasing out , i dont think it will be a problem.

Better not to buy Aveo at this cost consider Swift Dezire... best option Posted: 4945 day(s) ago |
Aveo is great looking & comfortable car.
If you really dont need a Diesel &/or SUV, then I think Aveo is better than other car's in same category. Phasing out is not a problem, but Resale price might be less as compared to Honda/Maruti. Posted: 4944 day(s) ago |
I would recommend you have a look at Linea in sedan..And scorpio in Suv..Avoid Xylo. Its engine is very much noisy and less powerful compared to scorpio.

I was a Aveo owner. It was a nice car, But due to the poor service I had to sell that out. The driving is not the best, It has poor gear shifts, Lethargic performance I had to sell it within 3 years. It has great looks, but the rest will not make you happy. I wouldn't recommend you to buy it just for the package they offer. Take my advise and stay away.
