What is mean by 1 1L 1 3L or 1 13L BHP engine

1.1L,1.3L referes to the cubic cpacityof engine.For 1.1L Engine the sum of the CC of four cylinders will be approximately 1100 CC ie each cylinder around 275 CC.
The BHP is the brake horse power that is actually available at end of the crankshaft/Flywheel of the engine. Indicated Power is the theoriticalPower that can be developed in an engine.In practice some of the power is lost in overcomming frictional losses. hence BHP will always be less than the Indicated Power.BHP can be measured at end of crank shaft using dynamometer.
