Hi,
Spark has better and efficient engine and has good overall performance including the interiors, ride and handling etc.However it costs higher than Alto.

Alto and Spark both are proven car. Buyer of this segment mostly worry @ maintenance cost. Maruti Cars has less maintenance and cheap spare part. Spark also has configuration.

you can not compare Spark with Alto.

if have budge for spark go for it. product qaulity wise Chevy Spark tooooo good.

driving feeling is also very good.

i have very good experiance with Spark.

Hi....I will go for an Alto simply becaue Chevy is coming with a new Spark.So if your going for a Spark i think you should wait till then.

Spark is much superior to Alto. In fact I would personally rate it much better than Wagon-R too. I own both Wagon-R VXI and Spark LS. Spark is much cheaper, has a better engine & features, beige interiors, 3 year free maintenance and comparable ASS in bigger cities. The only drawback (and a big one)is Sparks poor mileage. My two weeks old spark is giving me 10 kpl with 100% ac on. Don't expect it to be over 12 in any case with ac on and in city. Go for Spark man. All the best.

SPARK's average is around 13 after three months with AC and around 16 on highways with A/C. Two week old SPARK may give fuel efficiency of 10 KMPH.
As already stated by Siva, SPARK is higher on specs. I will only add that if you stretch your budget, you get cars of better specs, like i10, Rits, Fiat Punto.
Among all SPARK is good balance between budget and performance, so good value for money and a good city car and it is availabe in four trims, and LT variant with option pack and 60:40 back seat gives flexibility.

I would place my bets on the Spark. It feels much better to drive than Alto, has a silent engine and gives decent enough mileage. Interior space is much more than Alto and with the LT model, you get the split seats that will be useful.
