Hi, I have owned three 309 so far, two of them were diesel and one petrol. It had been 9 years now I have been using the cars with absolutely no problem. This is one of the best cars I have ever used so far. Some pre requisites for buying a 309:

are you willing to pay extra money for quality?
Are you good at doing alterations of the parts if you need to do so?

Peugeot cars are fairly customizable, meaning many parts of dawoo and fiat can fit in place. My experience so far is that, I never altered anything. I ordered all original parts from Mumbai. Who says there is unavailability? I had ordered whole steering train once.

People who look for cutting on the maintainance cost please do not even look at this car.

This is the best car in all aspects.
