I have just bought a 2002 model Lancer petrol with stock
I have just bought a 2002 model Lancer petrol with stock wheels. I want to upgrade the tyres (175R13) and stock wheels with mag wheels and extra broad tyres(something in the range of 195 to 205R 13). Please let me know what is the max size tyre that I can fit without making any alteration to the mechanism. Since I am also buying new mag wheel, Just let me know whether I can fit 14" mags instead of original 13" or not.If 14" mag wheels can be fitted, then what should be the max tyre size? I solicit your kind suggestions.

Hi,
For lancer 14" alloy wheels can be fitted.Speed rating can be choosen so as to have exact fittment of wheels without touching fenders and expected usage .It would be better to take the car to tyre shop tell the mechanics to fit a used or new tyre of same rating to check for exact fittment before buying all four wheels. I did not have to go for Mag Wheels and just changed my tyres to tubeless and have had no problem so far.

Thank you shri shiv jee ande Gurudattjee, The car already has 4 tubeless of size 175R13. But I need to make the cosmetic changes to enhance the looks without ignoring the safety.
