I have pulsar 200cc bike that was purchased 15 days back. Around 300 to 350 KM I was riding it in a speed of 48 to 50 Km/hr. sometime above 55. After riding around 600 KMS. I went for a trip around 80 to 90 KMs I ride a bike in a speed of 80-90 km/hr and sometime 100 too in that trip. So, do you think it will effect my bike performance later or now. Also, now I have ride around 700 KMS. I will give my bike for 1st Servicing within a days. Please advice me.

Well I dont think your Average will cross 45 kmpl for life. You must not ride your new bike above 50-55 kmph before its done 1000 kms. I made that same mistake and my bike 200cc Pulsar never gave above 45.

mr sunny. u must to think before riding 100 speed in new bike. but now u do ur service with new oil change. u may run it below 60 speed till 3000 km comlete. after u may drive till ur capacity. in this type there r more chance to bore damage . and my advise is that when u comlete 2500 /3000 km than change oil ... mobil no 1 oil for ur hi speed taste it will be very best oil .. it cost near 900 rs ltr but u can run ur bike 10000 km till no need to change as ordinary oil in 2500/3000 km... but it is very danger to drive bike above 80 speed

Hi,
Its recommended to ride the bike it an speed of around 60 KMPH before first service. Its with the view of engine to get set. Occasional high speed driving wont affect much. Aafter first service you can ride the bike at any convenient speed.
