HI, I am planning to buy a car with a total badget of around 500000(on road). Kindly suggest me the options in petrol version considering mileage, maintainence, output, comfort level. My monthly car run will be around 500 km. Also tell me, should I go for Diesel version for above car run. Whats the advantages or disadvantages going for diesel ?.Also tell me the diesel options aslo. For me the options would be Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Fiat Punto, Indica Vista, Hyundai I10, I20 .

Well, For the high initial price you pay extra for diesel(say 1 Lakhs) with your kinda mileage(500KM per month) it may take you 7-8 years to break even the purchase cost and another 5-6 years to reap benefits of diesel. So please forget Diesel.
My No.1 and very strange advise to you - i10 Sports AUTOMATIC - Yes, Automatic (At 500 KM per month - the 2 KMPL less mileage wont even hurt you. Otherwise - Manual transmission of the above will also do. My No.2 advise - Maruti Ritz Vxi - Superb car, grat drivability, great handling and good mileage.
