hi.
can u pls help me in deciding wether to by skoda laura AT or a VW jetta AT....... heard a new laura is gona come...i know there r some features more in laura. like the seat adjst.. sun roof head lamp........ both hav almost same on road price... heard the laura's rear seat is not that good,wat abt jetta.. anyway i am planning to by only an AT(automatic) ... pls help me out..

Among Jetta and Laura the Jetta has the advantage of superior handling,build quality, power, Interiors of both are good.The Body styling of Laura is somewhat more attractive than Jetta.The pick up between gears is a awesome for Laura.All in all Both are good and Laura is slightly better than Jetta. the jetta loses out on kit, the laura has a lot more to offer, they are built on virtually the same platform, however the jetta feels a lot crisper to drive, i have lived with both cars, my dad sold his laura of two years and now drives a jetta, personally the laura is value for money but the jetta is the better machine,i suggest you wait for the new laura and go for the AT since the dsg gearbox is a beauty. Also get your car chipped it makes a huge difference, ive had both the cars including my fiesta re-programmed and the results are amazing.

I would get the Jetta,as it is a fantastic car,and a global best seller for VW.
I have over the years owned 4 of them,overseas,and now own the latest one. I think the Skoda is not as well built or finished,and is not as good looking. For the same money,VW will also have better resale value. Posted: 5062 day(s) ago |

my friend I would like to suggest a more better car, wait for a couple of months for the Chevrolet Cruze it is the hottest car amongst all the new launches in India. It is going to cost around 12-15 lakhs , and the diesel one will have an automatic.
The car is going to be extremely spacious in the rear. Plus the car looks HOT the jetta and the laura are not that good looking compared to the Cruze. Just search for the car on google and you will know what im talking about. Also the fact that the jetta and laura have the same engines so not much of a difference. The cruze diesel automatic engine is going to be extra smooth like butter, i am assuming this because I have driven both the optra magnum diesel and the chevy captiva and it DOES not feel like i am driving a diesel car at all.
