As you are already using Ikon 1.8d for upgrading purpose, Fiat Linea will make a great option.

First i would say if you have a budget of 7 lacs you should go in for a first hand car.
With this budget i am not able to understand why you want to go for second hand car.

In SUV range you can get Xylo brand new in the budget you have. Even brand new Scorpio shall be feasible.

In Sedan segment you have all various options available for brand new cars
1. SX4
2. Logan
3. Dzire
4. Honda City can be reached for

So in a nutshell i would say go for a first hand car OR reduce budget and save money.

In second hand , go for 2003/4 Honda CR-V automatic .. i-VTEC , great value for money

if its first hand den try hyundai verna..or honda city..as d earlier person suggested i dn tink y u shud go for a second hand..but if u want a second hand..den u cud get cars in higher segment y nt d d segment cars..lik skoda laura ...frm wat i heard honda city is really gud..but logan i dn tink is a gud option..suv scorpio is gud and so is innova...a very pleasurable experience to b in an innova...very comfortable

if ur running requires u to go in for a diesel car and u don't mind a second hand car then their can be no better option then a used skoda octavia.it's a solid car and no matter how old it may be it always feels brand new..
