Hi,
Petrol vehicles can deliver more power and suitable for light vehicles.Calorific value of diesel is more than petrol and Diesel engines are more useful for heavy vehicles and long and continues usage.

Petrol - More BHP = Better Pickup.
Diesel - More Torque = More pulling power.
CRDi Turbo Diesel - More Torque + Good Pickup, after the turbo starts spinning.

Advice: Go for any well powered CRDi Turbo Diesel, like Swift, Palio Multijet, Indica Quadrajet, Fusion TCDi, Fiesta TCDi, Verna CRDi, Accent CRDi (only second hand available), Octavia TDi, Laura TDi etc etc and the list goes on..

Both produce same power, but diesel produces more torque at the expense of speed whereas petrol engine it is vice versa.

Diesel engines stroke length is more than that of petrol which in turn is because of higher compression ratio.hence diesel engine rotate slower than petrol

Diesel swift is more powerful than petrol.
i rided petrol and diesel i feel diesel swift have more pulling power compared to petrol varient.
diesel swift have more milege than petrol.
when we turn on A/C we feel more power loss in petrol varient,in diesel we can feel a little bit power loss.
so i recomend to buy a full option diesel swift.SWIFT ZDI
