Hi, I am planning to buy a hatchback under 7 Lac.
My emphasis is only on safety & have also researched global NCAP ratings for indian cars & have selected Maruti Swift ZXI, VolksWagen Polo (Comfortline) & Ford Figo Titamium.

Apart from this somewhere i am also feeling a positive point for Maruti Swift Dzire ZXI in terms of safety (due to its extended boot space) (though its not a hatchback but still can consider as i can still consider it as a sibling of Swift).
Help me in deciding the best pick.

Hello Deepak,

Thanks for the reply, as i said earlier that safety is my first priority & could not afford to compromise with that, however am still confuse by comparing the ex showroom price of above short listed cars, as there is considerable amount of difference in price & respective features of Fiat Punto if compared with rest, i.e Maruti (Either Swift or Dzire), VW (Polo) or TATA (Zest):::
(i) Fiat Punto:EVO 1.4 Emotion (Petrol) is Rs.6.70Lac that will cost more than Rs.7.0 on road,
(ii)Maruti Swift (ZXI) Rs.5.7Lac that will cost Rs.6.10 on road,
(iii)Maruti Swift Dzire (ZXI) is Rs.6.31 Lac that will cost Rs.6.81 on road,
(iv)VW Polo 1.2 MPI Comfortline(Petrol) is Rs.5.53 that will cost around Rs.6.0 on road,
(v)Tata Zest XMS is Rs.5.43 Lac that will cost around Rs. 6.0 on road.

Will wait for your reply & other experts to advice me to choose the best...
Thanks
Vijay

Hi. In terms of safety, VW Polo ranks better among the hatchbacks mentioned by you. Maruti Swift Dzire is also a value for money sedan that is low and maintenance and comes with the largest after sales network.
