Good Day.

I would like some suggestions from ur team.
I am planning to buy a new car in coming few months. I am a 30 yrs Married guy with a small family of 4 people.
when i travel, its almost all member of family travelling along.

*Budjet: 13 Lacs max.
*Petrol Version, as my drive is much lesser.
*1st Preference Auto Transmission, I feel that gives the drive comfort.
*Only Mid size Sedan.
*Fully Intergrated interiors required (like in Verna & City)
*Good Fuel Economy
*Lesser Running Cost / Maintenance Charges.

Actually i was too confused with these ones. City-Verna-Nissan Sunny- Vento. etc

i knw New City & verna are the leading variants, but then on d other hand i also prefer bold degisn, like dat of Sunny & vento.
Nvr heard from some1 Driving sunny auto or Vento auto.
what would u say bout sunny auto....? how is the performance, the econmoy n running cost?

and if i hv to settle for a manual transmission only, i think, i shud be buying chevorlet Sail. it has all the features i require and cost efficient.

Anyways, if u could recommend me from ur experts.

i do not prefer eco-sport (good interiors, but lesser boot space) , amaze, linea.

Thank you.
Waiting for ur reply.

Considering overall parameters as mentioned, Hyundai Fluidi verna AT would be best selection.Advantage is that of updated styling, power of 128PS in diesel with AT version.123PS in petrol version. Though Nissan AT version is also good in performance,Verna has much better performance and overall ownership and hence customer satisfaction.Recommended to test drive Verna AT version.Petrol or diesel can be selected as convenient.

As you have already liked Sunny n Vento,in AT version,Vento GT TSI offers the combination of highest mileage n power,17kmpl n 110PS,maintenance is also cheap as service is 1/year.

Hello Gopesh,

Choose between Vento TSI DSG or CITY CVT
With Vento, you will get loads of performance and German Build quality that will bring smile every time you drive. However Snob value and Service Experiences may be less so is the question mark of Reliability of this dry 7 Speed DSG

City is totally practical, Honda manages its ARAI figure in real world too, so if they claim 18Kmpl, you'll get 17kmpl easily on highways.
The goodies that you get with it is tempting.
Honda's are known for reliability.
Only downside is Rubber band effect and you have to plan your overtaking maneuvers.

Sunny AUTO , The CVT is just enough to make you feel easy in city, but highways require attention overall. The service experience is question mark with nissan and especially with auto.

Verna AT uses 4 Speed box that is old in today's world.

P:S You can get used Auto vehicles at low prices and that too run few thousand kilometers.
Just make sure they are not on sale due to its Auto tranny repair job.
The 5 Speed AT in 3rd gen City or even Civic offers good performance, paddle shifters and good fuel economy.

Like we see in Verna. Its perfectly shaped in a U.
N city's interior seems to b too shiny.
Any comments on dat plz???
Heard Honda 's spare part r much costlier Dan even German cars....???

The interior fit and finish of City are very good. The spares costs are not too high but compared to Hyundai cars its bit on higher side.

Mr. Gopesh,

Keep this in mind as the company reduces the prices of their cars, the quality also reduces considerably, unlike companies like VW n NISSAN(who have made name globally for their superior built quality) who wouldn't risk on cutting down their quality, all other companies in India share the same fate,
Coming to Honda, Honda recently reduced the price of their City, hence, it is evident that the dashboard/bumper/door's- material/design would have been compromised
Now Hyundai, the one thing they are famous for is, "Give their cars at lowest price initially, then, compensate that with the highest maintenance cost".

So, if you are looking for class quality and elegant design go for VW Vento or NISSAN Sunny, however, Vento scores a little over Sunny in terms of performance and mileage, it's upto you now.

PS: When browsing through car mileages, the figures that are indicated as ARAI efficiency is tested using 91 octane petrol, the petrol that you fill on a regular basis is around 82-85 octane, which will give you a reduced mileage.

1) One cannot comment on Interior quality and finish just based on overview pictures, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to take your valuable time and check both the cars in flesh.
Honda isn't famous for poor build.
Further inputs given by us may invite debates and more confusions.

2) Honda's Spares and Accessories are bit expensive and on par with Germans, However they are reliable and don't fail, almost built to last. The Service cost with Honda is low, lower than Hyundai's that push for some additives, Throttle body or injector cleaning jobs at very low mileages.

3) Test Drive the cars and evaluate.
