Cars with good low end torque work best with CNG in city conditions. Hence ideal choice wud be Santro Zing 1.1 or Honda City iDSI. These wud be my choices. You can test drive petrol version of these cars and compare with the cars that you shortlist so u have an idea.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUY A SECOND HAND CAR AND CONVERTING IT INTO CNG. I WOULD ADVICE NOT TO GO FOR IT. THE BEST KIT TO BE FITTED WOULD BE A SEQUENTIAL KIT WHICH IMPROVES THE MILEAGE. IF YOU FIT A OPEN LOOP SYSTEM YOU WILL CONSUME TOO MUCH CNG WHICH WILL LOWER YOUR MILEAGE AND ALSO NOT GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. ALSO YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ON THE CARS SUSPENSION .I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TO BUT NEW HONDA CNG AS YOU WILL GET COMPANY FITTED CNG. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY THE PETROL CAR FROM THE HONDA DEALER FIRST AND THEN THEY WILL FIT THE CNG KITS IN THEIR WORKSHOPS, SO INITIALLY THEY WILL GIVE YOU A RC FOR PETROL ENGINE AND THEN AFTER A MONTH YOU WILL GET THE RC FOR CNG.

Hi,
CNG kit can be fitted to any vehicle. As mentioned in earlier comment, its worth fitting a sequential kit for better performance and utility.
