Hi Experts and friends,
By one of my friends recommendation i am planning to book a Fiat Grand Punto 1.4 Emotion(PETROL). Its a brand new car however the manufacturing is 2010 and hence the dealer is offering a very good discount (around 1.70 to 2 lacs) in compare with this years model and manufacturing. I am considering this as earlier i am planning to go for alto but my friend insisted that since you can get brand new fiat grand punto that too very cheaper rate you can add a bit extra as the car is far superior than alto.
I wanna know if this is a common practice? If yes is it worth? What are the things to look into carefully so that i don't get bad deal?will it be a good decision to add few k's extra and go for Fiat punto? My friend is saying that you will get all the warranties etc. which company is offering and you will also get all lubricants coolant air filter etc. changed at the time of delivery...
Also i wanna know if i can ask the dealer to replace the tyres with new ones as the existing one may be more than two years old and hardened due to standing idle?
I want your precious views from all angles to think about the deal...kindly help and enlightened me about new car with old manufacturing date?

Considering it as a non used car at dealer end in factory condition, it seems to be a great deal in getting it with discount as mentioned.Its a non frequent offer.However if its the offer from a authorized dealer and vehicle is genuine one then worth the investment made. Alto and Punto belong to different category with high difference in price and maintenance. The decision mainly depends upon budget range and maintenance cost. In overall as far as the question on 2010 make but brand new car at dealer end is a good selection giving satisfactory ownership.Recommended to go ahead with the same after inspecting the vehicle in person.
