Well I would suggest you the Verna . The Honda City is not a comfortable car to drive . The + point about the Verna is its Diesel which will ease your cost on fuel and the aftesale service network of the Hyundai brand if far too better in terms of reach and SLA .

Ok here I am really shocked to hear that Honda City is not a comfortable car... Vinay, if you are just looking at the comfort and economy aspects just go for Honda City. Considering that you drive only 400-500 kms per month additional 1.5 lakhs does not make sense. The diesel car savings will not equalize the bank rate itself. However, obviously Hyundai has its service advantages and Verna is more powerful. So choose it based on what you need from your car - comfort/power. And obviously Verna will have a higher resale value in the current high petrol price scenario.

If Buget doesn't bother you (for buying and fuel) Hond would be the choice, else if budget is concern go for Mahindra Verito or Ford Classic.

I would not say honda city is a bad option but Hundai verna has got a difffrent platform in this segment, if you are spending such a huge amount then better go for hundai so that yoy could get a better resale, comfort, less maintainance, better after sales service, easy availability of service station, better fuel efficiency and many more plus points.....

Go and take a test ride of both the cars and take a look of exterior first because the power of car is very good but how much you can utilize ......... hardly 1-2 % of your car life......... both the companies are well known ...... choose as per your personality ......... as per my suggestion go for Verna.

I have a Honda City 2010 model, Hundai Verna 2011 model and Toyota Corolla Altis 2012 model.
PLEASE DO NOT THINK IN DREAMS even of buying a Honda City. I just sold it at 5 lacs, Verna is Ok but Altis is toooooo goooood.
Take a test drive of all and u will never even sit in Honda City. Ver very hopeless car.
