Hi, I am planning to buy a Ford Figo TDCI and would like to upgrade the tires from stock 175/65/R14 in order to increase ground clearance.

Please advise which would be the best option from below
1. 175/70/R14 (increases sidewall, GC by 8 mm)
2. 185/65/R14 (increases sidewall, GC by 6 mm)
3. 185/70/R14 (increases sidewall, GC by 15 mm)

I am not worried about warranty getting void or speedp errors; just need maximum ground clearance without much impact on ride and handling of the car.

I am tempted to go for 185/70/R14 but would it be too much?

Many thanks for your time and reply !!

Dear Mr.Shiva, since this question is a bit too technical and about tyre upgrades, I would request you to look into this and reply to my query. Other Figo owners and Tire Gurus, please advise too..Thanks

Using tyres with rating 175/70 R14 would help for slighly better GC as mentioned. As Rim size of 14 is only used as recommended for Figo, there wont be any change drastic change in performance. You can go ahead with the tyres with rating as mentioned.
The other methods to get better increse of ground clearance is through suspension modification. This will affect warranty and also vehcle dynamics upto certain extent.
