Does the choice of colour affect cabin temperature
Does the choice of colour affect cabin temperature specially during long days in summers in our country? people tend to believe that light coloured cars remain cooler. how far is it true? Also, is there any evidence that light coloured cars meet with accidents less frequently than dark colourd ones owing to their better visibility in darkness??

Hi,
The colours does affect the reflectivity.With high reflectivity the heat transfered to body is reduced and can be termed as cooling effect.However the effect is very less and hence many not be a prime consideration.Like White would be easily recognisable in drakness with light falling on it.However with respect to driving in night, the headlight focusing and driving skill matters more than the colour.
