Hi ,
I have a very basic question. I have purchaed a new car (mahindra verito petrol). I have been told by dealer that, there is kind of engine immobilzer system in my car. I mean the car key has some code and same has been there somewhere in the car (I am not sure but might be in engine). Now I am planning to take remote central locking with sensor and immobilizer. My question is , does it sound good to go for both (sensor and immobilizer). Or shall I only go for sensor, as my car already has some kind immobilizer system.

Another question is, When the remote central locking is installed, will it change the code given in my key or will it have new code itself?? Any suggestion is greaty appreciated.

The protection provided by the car manufacturer in your case is within the key - meaning the car will not start if any other key is used other than your own duplicate key as the sensor near the keyhole will not detect the key.Now as for the Central Locking it is fitted to your doors and is a separate entity you can have it installed for added safety, suggest you ask the dealer itself to install the system as any leak will drain your battery or may lead to other issues.

Fitting central locking is seperate issue and wont affect immobiliser. You can go ahead with fitting of central locking.
