I am working in Infosys.I am telling my views and my collegues. As you are aware, petrol vehicles are always better than diesel in terms of efficiency, easy start in cold condition and less maintenance.The cost of petrol car is less because engine is less heavier and thus it gives more mileage under same conditions.
Diesel prices are going to rise in future at a faster rate while petrol prices cannot rise as per Indian government. It is evident in last one year.
Thus, to have tension free driving,use petrol.donot listen to dealers who insist on diesel car as they know it.

If you are purchasing used car, be conscious for the best MNC companies vehicle which are designed for more life and best service. i prefer Hyundai and Ford Ikon as both are excellent with best pickup in all. If you are getting excellent big vehicle at lower price,it must be considered.

If you are looking for New car then Hyundai i10 1.1 is one to consider with price ranging from 4.0 Lac to 4.6 lac depending upon city.It has good looks and good features including highway riding .Logon Price ranges from 5.0 lac onwards it offers more power and good combination of space and comfort.If budget is around 3.0Lac then Spark is best suited .I short ,if budget is 3.0Lac then go for Spark .If 4.0Lac go for i10 ,If 5.0Lac then go for Logon.
