I plan on buying the Ritz diesel variant for which I tested 2 cars from different dealers.
For both the cars I had felt a common issue and would like to know if there is anything wrong with the Ritz.

1. When I pressed the clutch pedal all the way to the floor I would hear a "thud" sound, like the clutch pedal is touching the floor and there is no insulation between the two.

2. Whenever I moved the gear handle either to the extreme right or extreme left there would be a sound of the gear handle touching the body.

When I asked the dealer about this they would mention that these are test vehicles and are not handled properly ( both had covered approximately 40K Kilometers). I am worried now that after 30K kilometers I would get a similar sound from the clutch and the gear. Any comments would help me in deciding whether to go for the Ritz.

Generally test drive vehicles are used excessively. However the dealer is supposed to maintain in best of condition as it matters a lot in decision making. There could be problem in gear selector mechanism which needs to be checked and rectified.

Yes test drive cars are used extensively by different users with different handling & riding habbits, so they should be maintained in a good condition but practically dealers doesn't do this.

I am a Ritz Ldi owner and i have done 22K in my car and i could not notice any issues in gear box noise or clutch fault.
