I want to buy a new hatchback. I need to travel 150 kms daily and the roads I have to use are bad and rough. I want to go for an economical option and thinking of dual fuel cars like wagonR duo, Santro Eco etc. Are these good options for rough roads? Please advise me on LPG cars considering the performance and maintenance cost.

Hi,

Even Safety should also be measured initially as u will be travelling 150Kms every day. Take a model with airbags.
Next important point is u have to choose diesel car only.

My suggestions:

1. Nissan Micra Diesel- Top milage & great style & safety.
2. Fiet Grand Punto Diesel- Best milage, silent & comfy drive.
3. Hyundai I-20 Diesel.
3. Hyundai I-10 Top end but i am not sure if airbags are there or not.
4.Indica Vista Quadraget Diesel- Average good car.
5. Ritz Diesel- Wonderful ride but not so attractive w.r.t Exteriors but one of the best car.
6. Alto K series Petrol.

Else go with Santro LPG as the Wagon-R has got poor road grip, people say even Omni has got better grip than the Wagon-R

Hi,
For the kind of usage mentioned, it would be better ot go for a diesel version car. Though LPG versionwould be economical initially, inlong term diesel car would be proved beneficiary.
