I have a 2000 Matiz. I suspect a malfunction of its fuel gauge.It appears irratic and unreliable. A replacement is presumably costly affair. Is there any way out to find the fuel level in the tank? A dipstick may not work because the fuel passage is not straight vertical. Not knowing how much fuel is in the tank creates anxiety.

Hi,
The problem could be defective wirng of the fuel float unit fitted on tank.Please get the same replaced and problem would be solved.

Hi, I m also having same problem in my car but its only soloution is to replace the chip which is connected vd the float as its wire is worn out and having very less diameter.
