Hi,
For the usage mentioned,diesel version car would be a ideal selection.

if you calculate total cost of ownership for 5 years considering your usage.(car basic cost+bank interest+fuel+insurance+maintanance) then It is almost same for petrol and diesel. I personnaly will prefer petrol. Actually both decisions are correct for the usage you are mentioning. If your running is more than 2500km/month then diesel will be strongly suggested.If less than 1000kms. then petrol.
