Go for petrol, no doubt.
Among the ones you have short listed, go for Manza, it's truly value for money.
Accent Executive, would also be a good choice.

Among the cars you have shortlisted the swift dzire vxi makes the most sense as it has a good list of features at an affordable price.Along with that it has a fuel efficient as well as a powerful 1.2 l petrol engine. And yes maruti's service backup is unmatched so I think it is pretty much the ideal car for your requirements.

Without second thought go for Swift dezire Petrol. It is best in its class, very stable and powerful vechile with very less maintainence required.

Sir, Dzire diesel don't give 24km/l but at best 21km/L though only in ideal condition in high way. Petrol version will give 15km/l and highway, it will give 17-18 km/L. Using AC, both version will come down at average of 2kms than the non AC mileage. But , overall, within your budget, no doubt petrol version (VXI) will best suit you. Thank you. All the best for your new car.

Close your eyes & go for FIAT Grande Punto. Believe me you will get great driving pleasure with good City & Highway mileage. Easy to drive & park in City atleast better than Dzire. Very good stability on highway.

Hi....
(1)As u have to travel 20kms a day, its better to go for diesel. Not only that, u can also increase the frequency of the trips to ur native with much worries.

(2) I'll recommend the Swift Dzire Diesel version or the Hyundai Accent Executive Petrol version(with LPG). Both have reliable vehicles with decent mileage. Hyndai accent has plush interiors with good ride and good value(esp the LPG version), while, Swift is good in handling and has high resale value. Both have decent boot space.

(3) Swift Dzire (diesel) gives around 13.5km/l in City and 18km/l in highway while the petrol version gives 11 km/l in city and 16km/l in highway.

You can safely expect about 13-14 kmpl in the city and 16-17 kmpl on the highway from the swift dzire.Fuel economy largely depends on your driving style and if you drive with a light foot you can even extract a bit more.Happy Driving.

Morning Shiva / Rohit & Friends,
Yesterday Ford Ikon reduced theie prize to Rs5.08(EX Show room Prize). You already suggested to buy Indigo ecs or Dezire petrol. Kindly brief the merits & demerits of Ikon and your strong suggestion...

The Ford Ikon is a good car no doubt but you should also see that it is a decade old design and hence is not expected to continue for much longer.I would still recommend a maruti swift dzire vxi as it is a newer design and you just can't go wrong with a maruti.
