First things first CNG today is a very safe and clean way of reducing your running costs and also contributing towards the environment.The running cost per km in an accent should come to about 1.5 rupees.As regarding maintenance,it requires no special maintenance,just keep getting your car serviced at regular intervals.The only precaution you have to take is that cng driven engines require a higher grade of coolant which if you ask at any petrol pump you'll get easily and availability is not a problem at all.
I am telling all this to from experience as I drove a Fiat Palio (assumed to be a guzzler..!!) on cng for 4 years and 160,000 kms and it regularly gave me 17 kms/kg of cng.Happy driving & saving.
