Figo Zxi would be the best selection if you look Value for money, because it offers, Defogger, Rear Wiper, Music System, 1755mm Tyre, Keyless entry.

Above features are not available in Swift Vdi but Swift offers best performanece, ride quality, resale value, lower maintenance than Figo.

I agree with all comments from Mr Vinoth, except the fact on ride quality of FIGO is much better than swift and it feels and behaves like a big car.
Also, a recent car magazine published the prices of spare parts, and these are comparable between swift & Figo diesel.

You may also consider paying extra and going in for Titanium model of FIGO which has two airbags and ABS, whereas Airbags are not available on any diesel variant of swift.

Don't get carried away with this superficial features(ABS and Airbags are excluded). Swift VDI is great performer and way ahead of ford figo. When you are interested in buying a diesel hatchback, you mostly will also be interested in the mileage? Swift is best in class for mileage.
Ford has the worst resale value on INDIAN market.

Figo diesel is good at mileage,I own it an it is giving me 25 KMPL @ highways and 14-16 KMPL in city.Gear shiting, clutch play,steering,riding comfort is the best in Ford.Might feel performance @ 2nd gear is little less initially, But will not feel after u got practised handling the car.Figo has good boot space.Only resale value might be a problem for figo, But If you are going to have a car on long run Figo rocks with features and driving comfort

I FEEL THE SWIFT VDI WILL BE THE BEST OPTION AS IT GIVES A GOOD MILEAGE EASY TO MAINTAIN PARTS ARE AVALIABLE IN THE LOCAL MARKET GOOD RESALE WHERE AS IN THE FORD CARS THERE IS NO RESALE VALUE IF U HAVE TO BUY ANY EXTERNAL PART ALSO U HAVE TO GO THE SERVICE STATION ONLY AND THE PRICES OF THOSE PARTS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE

Figo the best value for money but as far on highway i prefer swift over figo.. and plastic inside i find better in swift..
